Faryl Smith | Christmas song and more!

Faryl Smith has been very quiet since her escapade on Britain’s got Talent. Unlike Paul Potts (I thought he was a dictator from Cambodia?) who has been working like a Polish bricklayer, Faryl Smith has been busy working towards getting 9 A stars on her GSCEs. A good think too, Faryl doesn’t want to end up working in a phone shop like Mr Potts. Faryl should still practice her singing and maybe do a few public appearances, probably with her choir, but she should concentrate on her studies and try to live as normal a life as possible. The fame will come when she is a bit older and can enjoy the limelight with the knowledge that she has her qualifications behind her and the name Faryl smith will be on everyone’s tongues.

It’s my bet that Faryl will go on to drama or music school and study music at a serious level as this is a lot more her style than Britain’s got talent. Faryl Smith is a serious singer and needs to be marketed as such. Paul Potts (as good as he is) will never be taken in the same serious light as Bocelli or Pavarotti because he came from Britain’s got talent. Although he is a fantastic singer, at least as good, if not better than Faryl Smith, the marketers will have a hard job to get him seen as anything other than the bloke who won a reality talent show. He may actually get more success abroad and this may be the same for Faryl. She would be better off going to study opera in Rome or Paris and surrounding herself with proper singers. Faryl should certainly stay clear of the pop lot, Simon Cowell etc, as good as he is at his job, being associated with him will position her as a cabaret pop singer rather than the talented opera singer that she is.

So what’s next then for Faryl Smith in her career? Well, it could be that she is actually going to release that duet with Rhydian Roberts. He has been busy planning his album and supposedly working with Faryl on their record. I think it is well known that she is involved with her local choir and this will help to develop her voice and keep her feet on the ground. Most likely, she will have a record out around Christmas and can make a few quid. Can you imagine Faryl Smith sings Walking in the Air? I’m sure it would be great! Well, if it happens, remember you heard it hear first!
